Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa congratulated Barcelona after they secured the La Liga title following a 2-0 victory in El Clásico during the 35th matchday of the Spanish championship.
Barcelona won the match with goals from Rashford (9′) and F. Torres (18′), sealing the win over Real Madrid.
“Congratulations to Barcelona for winning the title today,” Arbeloa was quoted as saying by Marca.
The Catalan club claimed the Spanish league title with three rounds to spare. Barcelona tops the La Liga table with 91 points, while Real Madrid sits in second place.
This marks Barcelona’s second consecutive La Liga title. In the previous season, they accumulated 88 points over 38 matches, finishing four points ahead of Real Madrid.
